Sci-fi fans around the world rejoiced when Netflix dropped the latest season of the influential sci-fi anthology Black Mirror on December 29. Viewers of the opener, USS Callister, might recognize episode protagonist Cristin Milioti as the criminally short-shriven title character in How I Met Your Mother. Musically-inclined fans might also recognize her as the Tony-nominated and Grammy-winning star of the musical Once, based on the movie of the same name. Here's Cristin performing "Falling Slowly", written by MMS alums Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, with fellow principal soloist Steve Kazee.
The quality on this next video leaves much to be desired, but it showcases Miloti's range and power as she tackles Florence and the Machine's 2009 hit "Cosmic Love" with gusto. Not only is she a talented thespian, but Cristin has a voice many rock stars should envy.
