Tubesday - 'Champions of Red Wine' by The New Pornographers

Today's Tubesday video selection is Champions of Red Wine by The New Pornographers. The video is helmed by Leblanc + Cudmore, the duo behind the stylish Dancehall Domine. It tells the story of a mad flailing about in full-blown midlife crisis mode, drinking, fighting, and longing for women he can't possibly have. The lyrics tell the story of lovers in a troubled orbit, crossing the same lines and making the same mistakes as in the heady early days of their affair.

The New Pornographers will be playing a show at the 9:30 Club on July 10. It's already sold out if you haven't already purchased tix, but I'm sure the enterprising will find ways into the show.
