Feeling a little lethargic after your New Year's Eve excesses? Need a little musical pick-me-up? We have just the thing for you on Free Music Friday, featuring a swinging live set from the US Army Blues band.
The Army Blues, part of "Pershing's Own", the United States Army Band, became an official ensemble in 1972, although its unofficial roots stretch back to World War II.
This live set was recorded at DC's historic Blues Alley, the country's oldest continuously operating jazz supper club, and pays tribute to the District's own Duke Ellington. Sit back, relax, have a drink, and enjoy the show.
