Wes Tucker & The Skillets start it off with their Southern-flavored stomp, “Casting Stones.” The searing electric guitar work is dirty and menacing, reflective of the dark, distorted vocals. They’re got a new album, Beauty In The Broken, coming out, and you can catch them live at IOTA next Thursday, April 20th. Check out their MySpace site here.

Fueled by hard-driving guitars and soaring vocals, Anberlin’s "Paperthin Hymn" brings on the intensity without sacrificing melody or production. If you like what you hear, they’ll be at the 9:30 Club Monday, April 17th. Check out their MySpace site here.
